What is the Chancellery and Office of the Grand Chancellor?
Traditionally, the Grand Chancellor carried many titles related to the responsibilities. The titles included:

Today, carrying forward the traditional spirit within a modern context, the Chancellery of the Sovereign Imperial and Royal House of Ghassan is an agency of the government of the organization comprised of the Grand Chancellor as the Chief Administrative Officer, head of the internal executive branch. The Grand Chancellor serves as an appointed executive of the Royal House and Orders by the Head of the House and Name. The Grand Chancellor assists the Head of House as an ad-hoc secretary of state, managing the Chancellery of all foreign affairs and diplomatic missions of the House and Orders, and representing the Royal House and HIRH to all official or strategic third parties. The Grand Chancellor also organizes and mobilizes various offices and agencies of the Chancellery, according to the directives of the Head of House and Name.
Meet the Grand Chancellor
The Mushir (مشير), or the Grand Chancellor of the Royal House, is ex officio the Qayid Warayiys Jamie Al-Juyush (قائد ورئيس جميع الجيوش) and Al'Amir Alnabil Al'awal liGhasaan (الأمير النبيل الأول لغسان).
The Rev. Dr. Christian Dominic Boyd brings over twenty years of experience in organizational development, consulting for non-profits, UN-accredited global socio-economic development NGOs and IGOs, and educational programs. He is a highly skilled strategist adept at applying tactics in planning, development, and operational processes to achieve both short—and long-term goals and ensure organizational growth and sustainability. Dr. Boyd has extensive experience directing personnel and managing projects across multiple sites and global locations.
As an ordained Presbyter and Minister of Word and Sacrament in the Presbyterian Church (USA), the daughter of the Church of Scotland, Dr. Boyd serves as the full-time Pastor of Southminster Presbyterian Church in Waukesha, WI, and as the Stated Clerk for the Presbytery of Milwaukee. In his role as Stated Clerk, one of the two chief ecclesiastical officers in the church, he oversees and advises on ecclesiastical constitutional law and the judicial process. He also serves at the General Assembly level on the Advisory Committee on the Constitution, which reviews all proposed legislation and advises the denomination on policy and polity. Additionally, Dr. Boyd has been elected to serve on the Episcopal (Anglican) Presbyterian Ecumenical Dialogue team, working towards Full Communion.
In academia, Dr. Boyd is an adjunct faculty member at Carroll University in the College of Arts and Sciences, where he has taught courses such as Introduction to the New Testament and a Cross-Cultural Seminar. He also supports the spiritual life of the campus in collaboration with the Chaplain’s Office.
Internationally, Dr. Boyd serves as the Adontehene (Chancellor General) and Chief of Arms of the Royal House of Sefwi Obeng-Mim and for the Omanhene and Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Council in Ghana, focusing on humanitarian development in the Western North region. He also serves on the Board of the Oheneba Foundation (Ghana) and is the Managing Director and Treasurer for the Oheneba Foundation USA, Inc.
Dr. Boyd’s education includes Graduate Certificates in Mediation and Negotiation (Northwestern University) and Paralegal Studies (George Mason University); a DMin in Congregational Mission and Leadership, Organizational Development (Luther Seminary); an MDiv in Practical Theology and Pastoral Leadership (Louisville Seminary); and a BA in World Literature (Truman State University). He has also completed coursework in public leadership at Harvard Kennedy School, diplomacy, and human rights through the Global Diplomatic Forum (London) and the U.S. Institute of Diplomacy and Human Rights (Washington, D.C.).
He holds several certifications, including Certified Humanitarian and Stabilization Associate (Register of Humanitarian and Stabilization Professionals), Certified Non-Governmental Organization Professional, Certified Development Executive, Certified Nonprofit Executive, and Certified Nonprofit Consultant (National Association of Nonprofit Organizations and Executives). He is also a Financial Industry Regulatory Authority Dispute Resolution Arbitrator (rostered in Milwaukee, WI) and is certified in Clinical Research by the National Institutes of Health (USA). Dr. Boyd is a National Association of Nonprofit Organizations and Executives (NANOE) member and is listed among FINRA Dispute Resolution Arbitrators.
Dr. Boyd is a Fellow of the Society of Antiquaries of Scotland, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and Fellow of the Royal Asiatic Society of Great Britain and Ireland, both under the patronage of HM King Charles III. He is also a member of the Royal African Society under the patronage of HRH William, Prince of Wales, and the Royal Celtic Society under the patronage of HRH Anne, Princess Royal. Additionally, he is involved with numerous heraldry societies in the U.S., Canada, the UK, and Africa, is a member of the Augustan Society, and is an Ordinary Member of the Associazione Insigniti Onorificenze Cavalleresche (A.I.O.C.).
Dr. Boyd has received many international titles, honors, and awards for his unique contributions to humanity, charity, and interfaith understanding. These include distinctions from the Royal Ghassan Academy of Arts and Sciences, the Royal Ghassanid Order of Merit, and the Equestrian Orders of Christ Pantokrator, Saint Sergius, and Michael Archangel. His foreign honors recognized by this Royal House include those from the Royal House of Sefwi Obeng-Mim (Sefwi Wiawso Traditional Area, Ghana), the Royal House of Babiito (Uganda), the Royal House of Bagration (Georgia), Royal House of Petrović-Njegoš (Montenegro), Royal House of Keoua Nui Keali`i (Hawaii), Royal House of Sulu and North Borneo, and various confraternities under the royal patronages of His Excellency Mr. Rafael Melgarejo de la Peña, Duke of San Fernando de Quiroga, Grandee of Spain, and HRH Dom Miguel of Braganza, Duke of Viseu and Infante of Portugal.
Additionally, Dr. Boyd is a Freeman of the Worshipful Company of Fletchers, a Freeman of the City of London (UK), and an Honorary Kentucky Colonel appointed by Governor Andy Beshear of Kentucky (USA).
